Dr. John Kitzhaber is well known throughout Oregon and across the country for his expertise on health care and health policy. He’s a former emergency room physician, served for 14 years in the Oregon legislature, and is the longest serving governor in Oregon’s history, having served as the 35th and 37th governor of Oregon, the only person to date to serve non-consecutive terms.
